Artist, I admire

I’ve always loved having a supportive community around me—one built on encouragement rather than jealousy or competition. I truly value connecting with other artists, sharing ideas, and cheering each other on. When I’m unable to take on a client, I’m happy to refer them to people I trust. I believe in collaboration, not isolation.

Times are tough, and that’s exactly why support matters more than ever. That’s also why I’m excited to share some of my favorite artists with you below. They’re incredibly talented and genuinely inspiring.

Enjoy!

Where Imagination Takes Wing:

 "Art by Nature and Robin"

If you're looking for an exceptional taxidermy artist specializing in bird mounts, let me introduce you to Robin.

I had the pleasure of meeting Robin at the Wunderkammer Event in New York in October 2023. We connected instantly, became friends, and have stayed in touch ever since.

He became quick one of my favorite people to bounce around ideas with—always open, thoughtful, and someone I truly value for his insight and honest critique.

What I admire most about Robin is his brilliantly creative mind. He approaches his work with an abstract and imaginative vision that results in truly breathtaking creations. The way he brings his ideas to life feels like watching daydreams turn into reality.

Robin has this magical way of working in the abstract—his ideas dance in realms my mind can’t quite follow, and I absolutely admire that and it is endlessly inspiring.

His dedication to craftsmanship and his meticulous attention to detail consistently amaze me.

One of my personal favorites is his series of “fairies” showcased at the 2024 Wunderkammer Event—magical, intricate, and unforgettable. You can see them in the slideshow below.

I’m proud to call myself the owner of one of these enchanting fairies—gifted to me by Robin after the Wunderkammer event in October 2024. It’s truly one of my favorite pieces in my collection.

Even with all his incredible talent, he remains one of the most humble and kind-hearted souls I’ve met. His sense of community shines through in everything he does—always lifting up those around him and supporting me and other artists in the most wonderful way.

Each of Robin’s pieces is a unique work of art. To explore more of his work, I highly recommend checking out his Instagram profile:

"Millie and the Wolf"

 When Shadows Dance with Laughter

Meet Jesse, the “Wolf” behind Millie and the Wolf, and her fabulous feline sidekick, Millie!

A few years ago, while browsing Instagram, I stumbled across an incredible artist's page—and I was instantly hooked. I couldn’t stop scrolling. Every single piece she posted just captivated me. Her style is hard to describe in just one word—she's incredibly versatile and talented in so many ways.

Some of her work leans into the dark and slightly eerie, while other pieces burst with fun, color and energy. Then there are those that feel strikingly real and deeply connected to nature. What really pulls me in, though, are the pieces that seem to reflect my inner self—art that tells a story or catches a feeling so perfectly, it makes you pause and reflect.

Her main character is Roger—and I absolutely love him. I even have a few of her pieces hanging in my studio gallery wall. They never fail to make me smile whenever I see them.

I slid into Jesse’s Instagram DMs on a little quest for a print I couldn’t find in her online shop. Not only did she reply with the kindest, most down-to-earth energy, but she waved her magic wand (okay, probably clicked a few buttons) and poof!—the print appeared in the shop just for me. Talk about art and heart!

Below are three of her Instagram pages where you can explore her work:

One of my absolute favorite soft mount taxidermy artists is Abbey. She goes by the artist name Abbey Normal Taxidermy Art, and her work is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I came across her Instagram, I was instantly drawn to her vibrant personality and the way she presents herself. But what truly captivated me is how she brings soul and personality to her artwork, especially in the taxidermy animals she creates. She has an incredible talent for making them look not just lifelike, but full of character and, dare I say, adorable.

I'm lucky enough to own one of her raccoons, and it’s hands down one of my favorite pieces. I treasure it deeply.

What’s even more impressive is the range of her artistic abilities. Whether it's taxidermy, character dolls, or digital art, Abbey’s talent knows no bounds.

Years ago, we began supporting each other, sharing each other's artwork on social media. It’s been such a pleasure to witness the positive energy and community spirit she fosters around her work. To me, she is undoubtedly one of the best taxidermy artists out there, with a distinct style that is unmistakable. If you showed me 100 pieces, I could pick out hers without hesitation.

Even with all of her talent, she remains humble, kind-hearted and supportive.

If you'd like to see more of her amazing artwork, be sure to check out her Instagram or visit her Etsy shop.

A few years ago, I stumbled across her Instagram—guided, I’m convinced, by a bit of woodland magic—and I’ve been utterly charmed ever since.

Her art feels like a secret lullaby sung by the trees and flowers, brimming with gentle creatures and the kind of wonder that tiptoes straight out of a storybook.

She has a special gift for bringing forest animals to life, and her fox illustrations especially captured my heart.

I now have two of her prints nestled in a cozy corner of my studio, and each time I glance their way, it feels like falling in love all over again.
