🫎 Moose Mount Restoration: Ear Repair and Detail Work
Took a little trip up to Lake Placid to help bring a noble beast back to life—well, sort of. Thunder the vintage taxidermy moose had a bit of an accident during a move and ended up with a broken ear. The ear had snapped right at the point where it connects to the head during a move. I had to rebuild the clay structure to reshape the ear, then set an anchor to reattach it securely. Once that was done, I used adhesive to glue everything back in place and stitched some parts back together.
