The Library Mouse
Perched delicately on a miniature wooden ladder, the Library Mouse ascends toward knowledge one dusty volume at a time. Preserved in eternal curiosity, this white mouse—once humble, now hallowed—explores a world scaled to its dreams.
Housed in a vintage birdcage, the scene suggests both freedom and containment, echoing the fragile line between wonder and confinement. Within this tiny library, where books are barely thumb-sized and secrets are stacked spine to spine, the mouse becomes more than just a creature—it becomes a keeper of forgotten stories, a silent librarian in a world left behind.
This piece combines natural history taxidermy with miniature set design to create a narrative of stillness, discovery, and the peculiar romance of old libraries. The Library Mouse invites the viewer to imagine a world where even the smallest creatures chase the vastness of knowledge.

Vintage Bell Doll Mouse
โจ A new little character has stepped out of the curiosity cabinet… โจ
This elegant lady began her life as a vintage porcelain bell doll, but she has now been transformed into something a little more mysterious and magical.
I carefully mounted a real mouse head onto the porcelain figure, giving her a delicate new personality. Around her shoulders she wears a vintage weasel tail as a soft fur scarf, and her look is completed with a tiny vintage hat and veil, adding just the right touch of old-world elegance.
The result feels like a character from another time —
a small Victorian lady who might live quietly on the shelves of an antique shop or wander the halls of a forgotten manor.
Pieces like this are my favorite to create because they blend taxidermy, antiques, and storytelling into one tiny sculpture. Every element has lived another life before becoming part of this little figure.
Elegant. Curious. A little strange.
Just the way I like it.
Little Wayne
The project began with a vintage duck taxidermy piece—a quirky gift from a dear friend. It was missing an eye, and the moment I saw it, inspiration struck: this duck was destined to be a pirate. I imagined a tiny, fearless mouse riding on its back, embarking on a whimsical adventure through an enchanted forest. And just like that, Little Wayne was born. What started as a playful art project soon became the spark for my first children’s book, with Little Wayne as the brave and curious hero at its heart.

The Mouse in the Boothouse
The forest mouse found a home in an unexpected place—a single vintage Victorian child’s boot, discovered at a flea market. The moment I saw it, I envisioned it as the perfect little mouse house, rich with character and history. The worn leather, delicate stitching, and aged patina all suggested a story waiting to be told.
Inspired by one of my favorite childhood books—where a mouse family makes their life in an old boot—I set out to create a cozy, practical environment fit for an imaginative rodent life. The boot has been transformed into a warm, lived-in space complete with storage for seeds, bugs, and all the tiny essentials a forest mouse might need.
This piece is part of my ongoing exploration of anthropomorphic taxidermy, blending natural history with storytelling and nostalgic charm. It invites viewers into a miniature world where discarded objects become dwellings, and animals live life's just like ours—quietly resourceful, endlessly curious, and always a little magical.

Chill, Cast, Reel.
All it took was a vintage wooden toy boat to bring this beautiful fishing taxidermy mouse to life. The boat’s weathered green patina practically begged for a nostalgic fishing scene — and this little mouse answered the call, rod in paw and dreams of the big catch in his eyes.
Black feeder Mouse with 1/12 dollhouse fishing accessories. Half-mount on a doll-body.

Hazel and Clover
Shortly after publishing my first children’s book, inspiration struck again—this time in the most random place: a thrift store. As I wandered the aisles, a small resin turtle on a shelf caught my eye. I thought, “How cute would it be to create a little witchy-looking house on her back, with a mouse peeking out the window?” That simple, whimsical idea nestled itself into my imagination—and quickly grew into something magical.
From that moment, a new world began to take shape. I named the turtle Clover and gave her a curious, bright-eyed companion: Hazel, the tiny white mouse. As their story blossomed, more endearing characters joined their journey, each one bringing its own charm to the tale.
In July 2024, I proudly released Hazel and Clover—a heartwarming children’s book about friendship, imagination, and the joy of discovery.

Cozy knits
6 simple things — a hand-knitted doll sweater, tiny doll boots, a doll pants, a vintage Adirondack-style doll rocking chair crafted from wicker and branches, tiny dollhouse knitting needles, and a chipmunk. A little creativity and craftsmanship were all it took to bring “Cozy Knits” to life. Just another project… with a whole lot of heart.

The tiny Jack in the box
Inspired by the charm of the vintage toy, the Jack-in-the-box came together as a quick, lighthearted project. I made a miniature version—a playful nod to the original, small in size but full of character.

Leopold, the Librarian
I stumbled upon yet another vintage birdcage at the thrift store—too full of charm to leave behind. Its weathered wood, timeworn look, and little dents told stories of their own. Perfectly imperfect.
I added a tiny dollhouse armchair with delightfully old-fashioned fabric, and a stack of miniature vintage books discovered at a flea market in Germany.
One by one, the pieces found each other, and soon, Leopold—wise and watchful—moved in to become the guardian of this cozy 1:12 scale library.
He even found his way into the pages of my second children’s book, Hazel and Clover.
This tiny world is now looking for its next home and is available in my online shop."
Keep Shining
This piece was created to remind you to keep your colors shining, even when the world outside feels dark, cold, and sad. Keep your inner light glowing, hold the people and things you love close, stay cozy, laugh often, be silly, and let yourself be happy. Don’t let the world bring you down — your joy is a little rebellion.
This piece is called “cuz f... the wolf.”
The resin wolf skull represents the victory — the end of fear’s reign. Little Red Riding Hood sits on top of it, triumphant. In her hands, a toy weapon: not a tool of violence, but a symbol of a strong mind, willpower, and the ability to overcome fear. The message is clear — we don’t defeat our wolves through destruction with a weapon or violence, but through the right mindset, willpower, courage, resilience, and self-work.
Victorian Bat
“This Victorian-style piece was a fun project for sure. A rat-head mounted on canvas transformed into a bat-inspired oddity.
Trick or Treat
Two little adventurers set out under the Halloween moon
One’s a round and jolly pumpkin, the other’s a wild and sneaky leopard —both happy about their bucket rattling full of lollipops, candy, and yes… a wedge of cheese or two (because what’s trick-or-treating without a midnight snack?).
Tiny paws patter on the sidewalk, shadows stretch long and eerie, but don’t worry—these mice know how to scare up a good time. Cute? Absolutely. Spooky? Just enough to make the candy corn shiver. ๐ป
Hidden Lives
This shadow box holds a quiet story—
a miniature forest frozen between dusk and dream. In the distance stands a haunted house, its windows faintly aglow as if someone—or something—still lingers within. Below the mossy ground, two tiny mice peer out from their dens, curious but cautious, watching the world above.
It’s a piece about hidden lives, about the creatures who see but remain unseen, about the stillness that lives in the shadows of old woods.
โจ A special little project for a friend โจ
Recently I had the joy of working on a custom piece for my friend Robin (Instagram: @artbynatureandrobin).
He wanted a special gift for very good friends and business partners of himself.
I did choose a photograph of the wonderful owners of the tea and antique shop Diehl Marcus & Company in Salem, Massachusetts — a charming shop known for its curated antiques, teas, candles, and curiosities.
From that photo I recreated a tiny miniature scene… but of course with a bit of my own whimsical touch.
Instead of people, the characters became little mouse taxidermy figures, carefully arranged inside a vintage birdcage. The goal was to capture the spirit and personality of the original photograph while transforming it into a small storytelling world — something playful, a little magical, and full of tiny details to discover.
Projects like this are some of my favorites. They combine portrait, storytelling, and miniature craftsmanship — turning a memory or photograph into a tiny scene that feels almost like a page from a storybook.
Thank you, Robin, for trusting me with such a fun project.
