Fur and Blade Taxidermy NY began in 2020 with a simple idea, fueled by a deep passion for preserving the natural beauty of animals.
As a small business, I take great pride in the attention and care given to every detail. My approach is rooted in quality, integrity, and aesthetics—ensuring each piece reflects a deep respect for both craftsmanship and nature.

Ethical artistry in every piece
I practice what I call ethical taxidermy. Every animal I work with has been legally sourced and handled in a clean, cruelty-free manner.
The specimens I use have either died of natural causes, been found as roadkill, purchased as frozen feeder animals from pet stores, or legally and ethically harvested by licensed hunters—always with proper documentation and tags.
While I do hold a New York State hunting license, I’m not an active hunter. I completed the course primarily for educational purposes, to better understand wildlife laws, ethics, and conservation practices.
Services
I specialize in anthropomorphic taxidermy art, with a focus on small mammals.
Through my work, I aim to show that taxidermy can be whimsical, colorful, and full of personality—far beyond the traditional hunting trophy. I like to think of it as giving animals a second life—an afterlife in art, and maybe even in a fairy tale.
